Guardian ShowerGuard Glass Showcased on Lifetime

Date: 6 August 2012

Auburn Hills, Mich., August 2, 2012 – Guardian ShowerGuard will be the star of the show during a bathroom makeover on the August 3, 7:30 a.m.

ET/PT edition of Lifetime’s home improvement show, Designing Spaces. The episode will air again Thursday, September 13, 7:30 a.m. ET/PT and be available on the Designing Spaces website following the broadcasts.

Designing Spaces, now in its 8th season, is the premier home improvement television show airing on the Lifetime network. The show inspires viewers on decorating ideas, do-it-yourself projects, and step-by-step home improvements to make every space count.

In this episode, Diane Turnwall, Guardian market segment director of interiors, is joined by Guardian ShowerGuard dealer Chris Sezonov, owner of Shower Doors of Houston. They take viewers from the showroom to an actual installation, describing ShowerGuard’s benefits.

“Designing Spaces is a great forum to introduce viewers to the performance of ShowerGuard,” Turnwall said. “Thanks to Guardian's patented sealed-surface technology, ShowerGuard glass stays beautiful and scum-resistant, shower after shower. Homeowners can create a spa-like environment without a lifetime of heavy-duty cleaning."

ShowerGuard surfaces are permanently sealed with a patented ion-beam process during manufacturing. This protection is actually part of the glass itself, allowing the glass to withstand some of the harshest water conditions. In independent laboratory testing, ShowerGuard and other competitive products were exposed to hard water with dissolved silicates, which can be a challenge for any shower or shower door glass. After repeated exposure cycles, other products developed permanent stains while ShowerGuard retained its cleanability.
