The laminating line will allow the glass manufacturing plant to create new jobs and provide glass with enhanced performance capabilities.
Total investment for the line is more than £6 Million. Local business and political leaders were on hand for the celebration.
In making the announcement, Mark Bristow, regional sales manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland, said: “This investment is a clear demonstration of Guardian’s commitment to Goole. The performance of the existing float glass facility has gone from strong to stronger and this has generated the confidence within Guardian that Goole is ready for this development.”
The new line allows the plant to produce Guardian LamiGlass®. LamiGlass provides a number of benefits including safety, security, sound control and UV protection and is used in commercial and residential applications. These include hotels, schools, government facilities and storefronts.
The Glass Room was built with both customers and employees in mind. The room provides a hands-on experience with Guardian’s glass products. Visitors are able to touch, feel and see how the glass works and are provided detailed information through photos and videos about different glasses in different applications.
