Groot Group and Grupo Mara Team Up for the Civil Engineering and Construction of Tses Glass Container Glass

Namibia-based Groot Group, the world leader in advanced industrial ecosystems development, and Spain-based Grupo Mara, the world leading industrial company specialized in large scale civil engineering and construction for the food, iron and steel, cement, petrochemical, energy, leisure and services facilities industry are teaming up for the civil engineering and construction of the Tses Glass' 250tpd Container Glass factory in Tses, Namibia.    By so doing, Groot Group and Grupo Mara ("Groot+Mara") will act as the Industrial Facility Engineering Company (IFEC) responsible for the designing of the general piping and electrical installation, prepare the engineering and tender documents for the utilities, central electrical installations, civil works and buildings with local design companies.Groot+Mara will also be responsible for all local approval procedures; architectural design of all buildings and the whole plant site according to local standards and regulations, detailed design and structural calculations for the buildings, foundations (based on information from the EPCM company), road design, contracting and supervising the entire process of all local civil works and related items, and all other related local project management, civil engineering and construction of the Tses Glass Container Glass factory.Germany-based Heye International GmbH, one of the foremost suppliers of glass technology, high performance solutions, and know-how to the container glass industry worldwide, is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) for the Tses Glass Container Glass factory and is responsible for the complete detailed engineering and procurement of all the equipment, technology and processes as well as overall project management and supervising of the entire construction of the Tses Glass' 250tpd Container Glass.Tses Glass is being developed to have all five separate manufacturing plants in a single location in Tses, Southern Namibia; starting out with a 250 tons per day Container Glass Plant, 600 tons per day Float Glass Plant, 350 tons per day Tableware Glass Plant, 200 tons per day Ultrathin Glass Plant, and 200 tons per day Fiber Glass, making it the largest dynamic glass manufacturing hub in the world.

The groundbreaking of the Tses Glass Container Glass is on June 14, 2014.
