Glassman Asia has re-located from Jakarta to Singapore

Date: 9 January 2002

Continuing international political uncertainty has stimulated the organizers of Glassman Asia 2002, dmg Business Media, to relocate its highly respected event.

Originally scheduled for Jakarta on 14th and 15th May, Glassman Asia 2002 will now take place on the same dates at the Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre.Exhibitor reaction to the revised plans has been encouraging as many supporters had expressed concerns about proceeding with the Jakarta initiative.

“The decision has not been an easy one to make…” commented Exhibition Director John Wallis, “Having consulted exhibitors and other informed, opinion, however, we felt it necessary to take a decision sooner rather than later.”

Although disappointed not to be staging the exhibition in Jakarta for a second time, dmg are delighted to bring Glassman back to its orgins. “We launched The International Glass Manufacturing Exhibition (Glassman) in Singapore in 1986 and subsequently have organized more than a dozen highly successful shows throughout the world” John Wallis remarked.

dmg Business Media expects Glassman Asia 2002 to attract displays from the full spectrum of plant, equipment and technology employed at every stage of the primary glassmaking process. In addition, a series of technology-led business presentations will be organised.
