Dailypress.com reported that Corning Inc. plans to invest $12 million to expand its specialty materials division facility, creating 50 jobs, Gov.

Timothy M. Kaine's office said.



The Corning, N.Y.-based glass, fiber optics and specialty materials company will expand its Danville operations to add new products, including a polarized glass product used in laser telecommunications, the governor's office said.
