A glass-fusing class, held 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, March 11 through April 1, will teach participants how two or more pieces of glass become one after being kiln-fired and will use various glass applying techniques to create unique fused glass artwork.The fusing process will be combined with slumping to make bowls or plates. Sample artwork is on display in the University Center Commons.
Course fee is $104 and includes supplies, instruction and a ticket to the UW-Fond du Lac Art Exhibit and Sale on May 20.
In a basketry course that runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, March 16 through April 13, participants will learn how to create three-dimensional art using natural reed with color introduction. Beginning to intermediate students are welcome. Returning students will learn new patterns.
Instructor Ann Wild has many years of experience in creating baskets and judging basket shows. Sample artwork is on display in the University Center Commons.
Course fee is $105 and includes reed, handles, patterns and tools to make up to four baskets, instruction and a ticket to the UW-Fond du Lac Art Exhibit and Sale.
