Since 1966, Garibaldi has successfully completed a number of landmark construction projects throughout North America, including Shangri‐La Hotel, Aberdeen Mall, Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel and Vancouver Olympic Centre at Hillcrest Park, B.

C., Sparkling Hills Resort in Vernon, B.C., Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in Washington, D.C., Trump Tower in Waikiki, Hawaii, Shriner's Hospital in Oahu, Hawaii and the list goes on. The company has not only survived but thrived during the business cycles the economy has thrown at it over the years.   To date, Garibaldi has fabricated, processed and delivered well in excess of 50,000,000 square feet of finished glass products across the lower mainland and North America.

To mark this milestone, Garibaldi will be hosting an event welcoming its employees and clients to celebrate its success and to unveil its new state-of-the-art facility at 8183 Wiggins Street in Burnaby, B.C. The brand new factory has one of the largest tempering ovens in the lower mainland as well as equipment from the world’s leading machine manufacturers. This equipment is for the production of such products as silk screened ceramic frit, automated insulated glass units fabrication and structural glazed components, to name a few. But the main feature is the heat soaking oven, one of the largest in North America, that can accommodate sheets of glass as big as 104 by 204 inches. Garibaldi also prides itself on maintaining the most advanced CAD and templating equipment available in the market to meet all new challenges.

“We have always pushed the envelope and challenged ourselves.  We also have been fortunate to be surrounded with talented people at all levels of the organization. We are a second-generation, family-owned business. That legacy coupled with our 150 employees, many of whom have been with us for over 15 years, give us a solid working relationship with our customers,” said Carey Mobius, president of Garibaldi.  “We are motivated to continue to develop new products, services and capabilities to meet the ever-increasing complex requirements of our customers. Our company has grown, expanded and evolved from day one and there is no reason that will ever change. I am confident that this 45th anniversary is our threshold for many more years of glass solutions and innovation”.

Garibaldi has also become an integral part of the community by contributing to various local charitable organizations, such as Children's Hospital.  The company is continually involved in local community fund-raising initiatives and education for student groups. “Our company’s commitment to the community is strong and has enabled us to build a reputation as a sustainable partner and a good corporate citizen.  We are proud of those relationships.” says Mobius.
