Ferro Corp. (NYSE: FOE) has announced that it will close its plant in Uden, Holland, in an action that will result in about $13 million in charges against earnings in 2010.
The producer of specialty chemicals said dielectric products currently made at the plant will be transferred to other Ferro locations or discontinued. In total, about 120 jobs are expected to be eliminated as a result of the closing, which should be completed by the end of 2010.
