Edgetech customer IQ Glass UK Ltd supplied the project which included a 21st Century glass extension. Alan Fielder, Director of Sales and Marketing for Edgetech explains why Super Spacer would have been used in such a project: "This week's restoration involved a remote Scottish ice house that had been bought by Laird Henderson 10 years previously to use as storage, but that he then decides to convert into an idyllic one bedroom home. The 19th century stone fridge is transformed into a well designed hideaway with a stunning glass extension using heated glass technology that will allow Laird to use the space as part of his home whatever the weather - even in the harsh Scottish winters. The glass extension is so advanced it accounts for half of the overall build budget.
"IQ Glass has been involved in projects such as these before thanks to its range of high performance glass products. Although this is a large and unusual project, homeowners with properties of all shapes and sizes are looking to cut down on their fuel bills and as the company specialises in intelligent heating systems, it is able to offer a solution."
