Cambridge, Ohio – Oct. 11, 2007 –Joe Erb, Edgetech I.G.’s product manager, and Jim Plavecsky, owner of Windowtech Sales, will present on warm edge technology at the Pella Windows and Doors Ed Fest.

The 2007 event, which brings together facility managers, architects and contractors, will take place Oct. 18 through the 19 at the Gunton Corporation DBA, Pella Windows and Doors, in Bedford Heights.

The presentation will be registered through the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Educations System and will be worth one learning unit hour. Session topics include historical and current spacers for commercial and residential applications, eliminating mold issues, principles of sound transfer and the impact window design has on sound attenuation.

“This is a great opportunity for architects and contractors to get a closer look at what we do at Edgetech, without giving them a sales pitch,” Erb said. “The Ed Fest lets the participants decide what they want to learn about, all in an un-biased format.”

Participants can also attend classes pertaining to buildings and LEED certification, window films, vertical transportation, energy smart lighting programs and more. After the first day of the Ed Fest, attendees can mix business with pleasure as they will have the chance to attend Happy Hour at the Hyde Park located inside the Clarion Beachwood Hotel.
