Andy Jones, Managing Director of Edgetech explains: "In July 2009 the British Fenestration Ratings Council instructed all spacer suppliers to submit proof of product performance to EN675. Unlike other WET suppliers, Edgetech submitted its information straight away and are thrilled that the thermal conductivity figures are even better than previously stated. The improved figures are proof of our commitment to the continuous development of our products. It is this continued investment into our products, and the complete business support package that comes with it, that is keeping our customers ahead in our competitive market.
"EN 675 is the standard specifically relating to the thermal transmittance (U-value) of glass in a building using the heat flow meter method. Edgetech's Super Spacer has always been one of the highest performing Warm Edge Technologies available, but with its figures getting even better, our customers can be confident we'll keep them ahead of changing legislation and market demand."
