"Windows are a vulnerable feature in a dwelling under bushfire threat and ordinary window glass cracks and shatters from heat and flying debris. We worked with Pilkington from the concept stage and met the challenging bushfire radiant heat test requirements with a laminated glass construction incorporating special Pilkington coated glass and Butacite® PVB interlayer," Phil said.
Further benefits are noise reduction, the screening of ultraviolet rays, and enhanced protection against theft.
