Double R Glass & Roofing Systems Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Starling as Manufacturing Manager.

“I have moved to Double R from a large well-known glass company where I worked as a Shift Manager for many years,” says Ben, “so I have extensive experience of glass unit manufacturing including cutting, toughening and sealing. I’ve been responsible for managing large teams producing high volumes of sealed units but started out as a Butyler on the line and worked my way up.

“I’m thrilled to have joined the team at Double R to support their ambitious growth plans. I’ve not long joined the company but it’s already clear to see the culture is very different here, with the focus very firmly on the customer in all aspects of the business.”

Ian Sims, Managing Director of Double R adds: “We took home the prize for Glass Company of the Year in the recent G-Awards and have already attracted some more high-profile customers as a result, so we are pleased to welcome Ben to our growing team to make sure we continue to deliver high quality units on time in full. Ben’s expertise will be a welcome addition to the already strong team that is ready to take Double to the next stage of its development.”

Ben and his partner, two children and two dogs live in Northampton, close to Double R’s Wellingborough base.
