Date: 1 July 2003
An exhibition catching up with artists who studied at a Black Country glass museum will be held throughout the summer. Previous occupants of the Scholarship Studio at Broadfield House will present some of their latest work at the centre in Compton Drive, Kingswinford, from July 5 to September 28.
The Scholarship Studio is sponsored by the Netherton-based engineering firm the Hulbert Group.
Since 1995 the Scholarship programme has offered recent graduates the opportunity to work rent free in the space in order to develop their glassmaking and business skills.
The exhibition, entitled Where Are They Now?, presents recent work from some of those who worked in the Scholarship Studio during the first few years of the programme.
Artists being featured include Allister Malcolm who is still working locally, Joye Colbeck who is based in Staffordshire, and Loco Glass, now based in Cirencester.
