Desert Glass Products to Open in Las Vegas

Desert Glass Products, LLC has announced the mid-June 2003 opening of a new full-service glass fabrication plant in North Las Vegas, Nev.

According to General Manager Dan Haney, the new 65,000 square foot facility will offer its customers the region’s highest quality tempered, insulated and specialty glass products.

The facility will include a state-of-the art 96 X 180 Tamglass SuperConvection custom tempering system, a 130 X 204 automated cutting system with A&W Software, an 84 X 180 roll-coat spandrel line for ceramic frit applications, an 84 x 180 silkscreen press and cure oven, and an insulated glass manufacturing line. Desert Glass Products will specialize in the fabrication of heavy glass as well as new generation soft coat post-temperable solar control products. The new Tamglass SuperConvection tempering system is designed especially for hard coat and soft coat temperable glass types and will produce thicknesses from 2.7mm to 19.0mm.

Insulated glass units produced in the new facility will be manufactured with four bent corners with either polysulfide or silicone seals. All products manufactured by Desert Glass Products will be delivered on a modern new fleet of delivery trucks that will service the Las Vegas metro area and surrounding states with superior service schedules.
