The Busan International Finance Center in South Korea selected the Fenzi Group product Chromatech Ultra for the IG units in the building.

This warm edge profile offers excellent insulation performance and energy savings to insulating glass units, as well as enhanced stability and durability over time, features that are essential for state-of-the-art architectural projects like this.

At 289 meters high, the Busan International Finance Center Landmark Tower is the tallest building in the complex, and is a striking landmark on the skyline of the most prominent port center in South Korea, making glass a key player in the new trends in South Korean architecture.

Built by HYUNDAI E&C to host the country’s financial institutions in offices ranging over 63 floors (3 of them subterranean), the building is in the final stages of completion and reflects the thrust toward technology and innovation that South Korea is known for.

It is precisely this trend toward the use of the latest science and applications in the field of architecture and city planning, that led to the choice of Chromatech Ultra – the exclusive stainless steel and plastics blend hybrid spacer designed for high performance insulating glass – as one of the materials employed in the external glass cladding of this magnificent project. This innovative spacer profile exploits the benefits of warm edge technology, of which the Fenzi Group (with Alu-Pro and Rolltech) is the primary standard bearer. Chromatech Ultra ensures outstanding thermal insulation, significantly reducing loss of heat through the glass, an essential quality in satisfying the new requirements for energy savings in offices and homes in South Korea.

Chromatech Ultra is also a top performer in workability; it bends easily while maintaining superior rigidity. This allows the creation of perfectly rectangular frames that ensure the tightest possible seal.

The perfect blend of features for the most cutting-edge projects.
