In the meanwhile, China is the largest country for glass consumption. The industrial structure of the glass sector in China has been optimized continuously. The turnout of the float glass amounts to more than 83% of the total flat glass production. Diversified new technologies and new products have been developed and glass-processing technology is developing rapidly. In the past, flat glass was used as a transparent material only, but nowadays its multiple functions have been opened out, such as light control, thermal regulation, energy saving, noise control, decoration and environment beautification. China has constantly expanded the proportion of its glass products in the international market. China holds an important position and exerts significant influence on the international glass field, and at the same glass communities in the world show their concerns about the Chinese market and are actively seeking for technical exchanges and trade cooperation with China. In this regard, the “China Glass” exhibition has played an irreplaceable role and presently has become a platform of the largest scale and greatest commercial significance for trade talks and technical exchanges in the Chinese glass industry.
It is expected that China Glass 2010 will have more than 800 Chinese and foreign exhibitors and the exhibition area is going to be 64,000 sqm.
