On December 5, over 900 people from the design community (designers and manufacturers) gathered at the visually stunning IAC Building, NYC, designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, to celebrate the best projects and products of 2013.The theater was standing room only, as the winners were announced live by hosts Cindy Allen, Editor in Chief, and Mark Strauss, President and Publisher. First introduced at NeoCon this year, CARVART Metallic allows architects to leverage the aesthetic of metal within glass for both interiors and exteriors, while minimizing weight and cost. Its composition also allows for terrific sustainability properties. When used as part of an exterior, the outer metal surface reflects solar energy, reducing a building’s solar heat gain. And when part of movable glass panels, CARVART Metallic reflects warm, therefore reducing the need for air conditioning.
