Call For More International Co-operation During GPD

Date: 23 June 2009

During the 11th Glass Performance Days in Tampere, Finland, InterAutoGlass underlined the importance of a more intensive international co-operation between autoglass technicians.

Managing Director Pim de Ridder called the technicians in the AGRR industry to consider the international dimension not as a threat.

In his GPD-presentation De Ridder gave a short description of the ingredients of the automotive glass replacement and repair aftermarket. The glass, adhesive, tools and repair systems come all from international sources, he stated. In addition the few standards for the AGRR world are globally used as well. And we should not forget two more components of the market, the insurance companies and market leader Belron. These elements make international cooperation a must as well, in which the human being, the automotive glass specialist can remain behind? the InterAutoGlass spokesman added.

De Ridder reminded of The International Master Fitter Competition 2008 as developed by AGE. This event in Dusseldorf, Germany last October provided the glasstec tradeshow with another international dimension. I am pleased to announce that thanks to Messe Duesseldorf during glasstec 2010 an even bigger International Master Fitter Competition will take place? he concluded.
