Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Innovation of the Year in the European laser cutting market has been presented to Bystronic for its introduction of ByVention, the smallest laser cutting system for standard-sized metal sheets .

This award is presented each year to the company that best has demonstrated excellence in new products and technologies within its industry.

“The ByVention has a unique advantage in cutting accuracy thanks to its integrated laser source and precise control unit; the shorter beam length helps the machine achieve the desired accuracy in cutting operations,” explains Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Karthik Parthasarathy. “In addition to being a novel material flow and operating concept, ByVention is also a new business model and is the first laser cutting system that is sold at a uniform price worldwide,” adds Karthik Parthasarathy. The net price, to which only country specific taxes and customs duty have to be added, includes the machine and also a Bysoft CAD/CAM software package for cutting and bending processes, delivery costs, assembly, commissioning and user training as well as the warranty and preventive maintenance.

Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for outstanding achievement and superior performance in various operational areas. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research in order to identify companies that demonstrate the best practices in the industry.
