Bengbu Design & Research Institute for Glass Industry (Bengbu Institute) of CNBM finishes the most influential bulk merger and acquisition in international new energy field, and will create the world’s first research, development and manufacturing enterprise of CIGS thin film solar cell.

On August 29, the top 2 giants in global building material industry, the global top 500 enterprises, signed the closing protocol, which means that Bengbu Institute formally merged and purchased Avancis Company of France Compagnie de Saint Gobain.Thus, Chinese thin film solar cell industry chain is finally completed. Bengbu Institute will take the lead in promoting domestication of new generation CIGS solar cell in China and utilize the technology of “Made in China” and brand advantages to contend with international new energy giants in global market.
