Asahi Glass to make automotive glass in Hungary from 2006

Asahi Glass Co said Thursday it will start producing automotive glass in Hungary in early 2006 to meet growing demand in central and eastern Europe.

Asahi Glass said it plans to set up a wholly owned subsidiary, AGC Automotive Hungary Ltd, this month near Tatabanya in western Hungary and start construction on a plant this year.Asahi Glass Co said Thursday it will start producing automotive glass in Hungary in early 2006 to meet growing demand in central and eastern Europe.
