Vladimir Shigaev noted that Asahi Glass Company boasts a huge experience in both the reorganization of operating glass companies and the creation of new plants. “We consider our contacts with Belarus as another step in bringing investments to the country,” he said. Vladimir Shigaev highly values Belarus’ potential in the glass production. Asahi Glass Company is keen to invest in all promising projects in this field.
Mikhail Myasnikovich, in turn, said that Belarus is ready to cooperate with the concern. “It is better to develop in cooperation. Our meeting will highlight the prospects of cooperation and outline the joint projects. You have a century-long experience in this field. Belarusian companies also occupy a significant segment on this market.”
In his words, the joint efforts and cooperation with the concern will help Belarus promote its interests and strengthen its positions on foreign markets. “We need to outline joint projects to promote our mutual interests on the global markets,” summarized the Prime Minister.
Asahi Glass Company is a transnational corporation headquartered in Japan. Founded in 1930, the company occupies 30% of the world glass market. The share of the company on the world hi-tech glass market totals 70%. The 2010 sales volume made up some USD 12 billion. The concern manufactures plate glass, semiconductor components, photoelectron components and chemical products on the basis of fluorine and chlorine. The company operates its own research center.
