The library in our firm has at least a dozen volumes about fracture. Two good books to begin with are listed below.
"Strength and Fracture of Glass and Ceramics" by Jaroslav Mencik, ELSEVIER, New York - Amsterdam, Tokyo, 1992.
"Strength of Inorganic Glass" edited by Charles R. Kurkjian, 1985, Plenum Press, New York.
Accurate failure analysis requires expertise in fractography. Engineering of structural glass applications also requires specialized expertise. If your interest is more than academic, you should retain a glazing consultant with the appropriate expertise.
