glass testing

does anyone know of any links or references i can use/look up as to the details of how glass is tested for strength, durability etc???? i am mainly looking for details on the methods used. any information would be of great help.

You have to be a little more specific about what you want to test. I know for example the threepoint bending, the for point bending, the ring on ring test, Pendulum tests Ball drop test and so on. What do you meen by durability? if you mean lifetime prediction you have to use Weibull statistics.

References for Europe Beuth Verlag they have all the standards also in english, or try ASTM for US Standards, the methods are similar
