Unionized glass-manufacturing workers at a local NGF Canada Ltd. plant could be on strike by Tuesday. Members of the Workers United Canada Council are to vote Saturday on a contract offer.
If it's rejected, 26 employees can be in a strike/lockout position after midnight on Monday.
According to the union, the company is a subsidiary of NSG Group (Nippon Sheet Glass,) based in Japan and the Guelph plant manufactures glass products for building, automotive, and information electronics applications.
