Date: 25 September 2012

On the glasstec 2012 in Düsseldorf the Wirth GmbH presents new, fast and reasonably priced vacuum lifting devices with an integrated lifting column. In in-plant use pneumatically operated vacuum lifters have several technical advantages compared to electrically powered devices.

If suctioned panes have to be positioned by powered rotating and / or tilting functions, pneumatically operated devices additionally have price advantages. Moreover, if the up and down movements of the pneumatic lifters shall also be operated by a pneumatic lifting column instead of a common chain hoist, the advantage that only an energy source is needed comes additionally to the price advantages of this solution.

The OKTOPUS® ERGO-Pick is an especially cost-effective and fast pneumatically operated vacuum lifting device. It can be used in single rail crane systems, does not need a chain hoist and has its advantages in the controlled load guidance in a pneumatic lifting cylinder and in the immediate vacuum generation (central ejector) with the first glass contact. Machines from the ERGO-Pick product line are first choice if it is about the reduction in the production costs of window producers or flat glass processing companies by manufacturing process optimization.

The OKTOPUS® ERGO-Pick with its Safe Working Loads of 150, 250 and 350 kg is the ideal complement to the well-known product line of rigidly guided vacuum lifting devices with an integrated lifting column OKTOPUS® ERGO-Jet. By using the same suction frame versions, the ERGO-Pick can lift, transport and position glass sizes of up to 2.600 x 3.210 mm.
