LIDU Glass Machine Co., Ltd. is a hi-tech enterprise who professionally concentrates on researching new technology for glass deep-processing and specially producing glass machinery. Great Potential and Opportunities in the Booming Chinese Glass Market

China’s economy has continued to be developing at a high speed, approximately logging a 9 percent-plus GDP growth for 2011, despite anemic growth in the United States and a deepening credit crisis across the Eurozone. Therefore, glass industry especially in high-end glass, such as automotive glass, insulating glass as well as the glasses with the feature of energy saving and environmental protection have greatly benefited. Following the trend of China’s overall developmental and consumer oriented growth, the glass industry has witnessed steady growth over past years. China is now the world’s largest producer and consumer of raw, flat glass, with the market share of around 40% of the world total.

In November 2011, “Guiding Opinions on the Development of the Building Material Industry in the 12th Five-Year Plan Period” has been released by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, emphasizing on the support and development of new materials and top-grade special building material products. The processing of special glass such as solar glass, as well as non-metallic minerals products will be the key for future development. According to the Opinions, during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period the China glass sector will adjust the industrial structure and spread energy-saving technology in order to realize a sustained decrease of the energy consumption unit products. By 2015, the production concentration ratio of the top ten glass enterprises will grow to 75%, with one to two glass enterprises (groups) entering the World Top 500.

Against this background, “Made-in-China” pavilion at glasstec 2012 will clearly show the strength of Chinese glass industry and in the mean time reflect the huge potential of Chinese glass market.
