Chairman and Managing Director of V-Kool Films (India) Private Ltd K S Sahni told newsmen here that the V-Kool films enable maximum amount of daylight transmittance while selectively cutting off infra-red rays and ultra-violet rays preventing sun burns, premature ageing, eye damage and skin cancer from prolonged driving and exposure to sun.
He said their products would be marketed by the city-based Trans Car India Private Ltd, for the Tamil Nadu region. It was a spectrally-selective sputtered metallic film, manufactured by Southwall Technologies, U S, and was marketed under the brand name 'V-kool' for automatives and IQue for the residential and commercial building, he said.
Company's CEO Ms Hasneet Sahni said the application of their products in windows, it forms a virtually transparent barrier that eliminates over 94 per cent of the sun's infrared rays while allowing up to 70 per cent of visible light to enter. This means less need for expensive air conditiioning and electric lighting, making V-Kool a great way to help control soaring energy costs, she added.
She said their products were applied by highly trained professional installers and come with a five year warranty that guarantee perfomance to stated specifications without fading, discoloration, cracking, peeling, adhesive failure, delaminating or delmetallising.
