Tyco Adhesives Launches Custom Design Resource Group

Date: 27 September 2002

In response to the increasing demand for adhesive technologies within manufacturing and converting applications for products, Tyco Adhesives established the Custom Design Resource Group within its Custom Coating division.

The Custom Design Resource Group constitutes a corps of adhesive formulation and coating experts equipped with years of technical know-how and the right equipment to turn out expertly engineered products for OEMs, converters and suppliers. The Custom Design Resource Group's comprehensive knowledge and expertise in pressure-sensitive adhesive formulation, coating, capabilities and ability to offer quick turnaround time translate to assisting customers in more effectively managing and providing better solutions for their customers.Rather than tying up resources and invaluable time, potentially ending up with a less than appropriate solution, customers can now focus on core production activities and gain a competitive advantage, all by outsourcing this intense and complex process and letting the adhesive experts take charge. For customers with already well-defined specifications, the Group takes the desired product specification through the comprehensive design process together with them. For those without a defined specification, the Group works with them to define the right adhesive product for their application.

Either way, the Custom Design Resource Group's approach ensures, through a sophisticated front-end development program, that a project's specifications are defined and clear. The program is designed to capture all environments and conditions, from concept to end-use, not forgetting affects the product will see in post-adhesive processing as it goes through to end form.
