Turkey: Sisecam to invest EUR 263m in new Plant in Bulgaria (update)

Trakia Glass Bulgaria, the local arm of Turkish glass and chemicals group Turkey Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari (Sisecam), will double the output of its Targovishte plant through 2010, investing USD 415 mln (EUR 263m), Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for four of the existing production units, Dnevnik a.m. reports.





Sisecam has three glass plants in the Targovishte area, manufacturing four types of products. A USD 75 mln household glassware factory was launched in July 2005. The flat glass unit of the plant went into operation in February the following year. The tempered and mirror glass plants launched in late 2006.
