The 25th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition / 5th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (25th EU PVSEC / WCPEC-5) closed its doors after 5 busy days in Valencia, Spain. 4,540 Conference Delegates attended 1,600 scientific and technical presentations, covering all aspects of photovoltaics. 963 exhibitors met with 38.000 visitors from around the world. TROSIFOL Division of Japanese Kuraray Group, the manufacturer of the world’s first PVB film specifically for solar applications presented his second and improved generation of TROSIFOL SOLAR PVB films.

This second generation (2G) is supplementing the existing product range and not replacing it. Experience with the standard product line has shown that for specialized applications certain parameters can be defined with even greater precision.

Besides that the 2009 premiered TROSIFOL SOLAR ULTRA WHITE was exhibited. With higher reflexion values and thanks to the effective combination of several measures (optimized sequence of layers) on the rear glass this new reflective film increases module efficiency by up to 2 per cent. This is because the new PVB film contains white pigments of extra-high whiteness.
