Date: 2 October 2014
The InnoTrans 2014 provided the perfect event to do so. More people than ever before visited the international trade fair for transport technology in order to have a look at the innovations presented there.
Our visitors could physically experience the crystal-clear advantages of the thinnest and most energy-efficient glass panes for rolling stock ever developed by FLACHGLAS Wernberg. We demonstrated our novel panes' considerable reduction in weight - hence in energy consumption, too - with the help of lots of energy-boosting dextrose candies. Placed on scales they helped to compare the extremely thin and light new panes to the heavy conventional ones. It goes without saying that our visitors were welcome to take the "saved energy" with them as they pleased.
Apropos welcome: We also invited our visitors on a very special time travel adventure. A timeline illustrated the 75-year old history of ground-breaking (or rather "rail-breaking") innovations developed in Wernberg. To round off the event we offered a hearty Bavarian snack as well - again an invitation happily accepted by lots of visitors.
In short: This year's enormous success at the InnoTrans inspired us to mobilise our innovative spirits - and to focus on the next InnoTrans right away.
