Steklarna Hrastnik has received the "Best supplier" Award for the English market

Date: 18 June 2014

In May this year, Steklarna Hrastnik passed Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit and Supplier Qualification Program for the commercial chain Sainsbury's with the highest rating possible and without comment.

Due to the result achieved, we also received the Best Supplier Award for the British market for table glass. The audit was performed by international company INTERTEK on 21 and 22 May 2014.

Within the specific due diligence, a thorough review of our production and manufacturing processes and the quality of our products has been carried out. Our products without décor endure 3,000 washes in an industrial washing machine without scratches and with décor 1.500 washes without loss of colour of décor and scratches. It was also checked how we care for the health and safety at work, fire safety and environment, as Sainsbury's wants to make sure that their suppliers do business ethically and in accordance with the law.
