Service ABC: Everything you need to know about your visit to glasstec 2024

What’s the best way to reach glasstec? What should you bear in mind before and during glasstec? Which services can you use? Just see for yourself!

We are delighted to give you an overview of services and important information for your stay ahead of time.

A - Arrival:
Messe Düsseldorf is easily accessible both by car and public transport. There are car parks available for you as a trade fair visitor. Click here for the overview on our website.

Our tip: Use the East Entrance/Eingang Ost. This entrance will take you directly to the relevant halls. If you are travelling by tram, the entrance can easily be reached from the “Messe Ost/Stockumer Kirchstraße” stop. Click here for a map of the exhibition centre.

B - Bus shuttle:
Düsseldorf’s urban railway company Rheinbahn provides extra shuttle buses during glasstec. You can take these from the airport and the large car parks P1/P2 to go directly to the entrances to the Exhibition Centre.

C - Catering:
There are numerous catering options available on the exhibition grounds. You will also find supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the halls (outside the Exhibition Centre).

D - Digital fair planner:
With the digital trade fair planner “MyOrganizer” you can quickly find exhibitors and events, plan your days at the trade fair or save lecture presentations as favourites. We have summarised how to do this here.

E - Exhibitors & Products:
Once again this year, glasstec 2024 is looking forward to welcoming over 1,250 well-known and innovative exhibitors who will be bringing interesting products and promising lecture presentations as part of our programme.

F - Forums & Sessions:
glasstec offers a wide range of specialist forums and sessions where experts present the latest trends and developments in the glass industry. For instance, as part of the glasstec conference or glass technology live.

G - Garment storage:
You can leave any coats and luggage for the entire duration of the fair. The cloakrooms are located at the entrances.

H - Hall maps:
Our interactive hall map will help you find your way around the Exhibition Centre and quickly find the exhibitor or programme item you are looking for. You can use it to search for exhibitors, call up information or plan a route between the halls. Try it out for yourself!

I - Information points:
You will find information stands throughout the grounds – our staff will be happy to help you with any queries you may have.

J - Just in time:
To ensure that you don’t miss out on the latest updates, highlights or last-minute changes, we recommend you subscribe to our glasstec Newsletter. You can also check your myOrganizer or our website for daily updates.

K - Key artists at glass art:
glasstec not only offers technological innovations and updates on all industry-relevant topics, but also a special art exhibition glass art. L - "Love-language" #WeAreGlass

M - Machine presentations:
glasstec offers exciting live demonstrations of the latest manufacturing technologies in the glass industry. Visit the exhibitors direct or subscribe to our Newsletter to ensure you don’t miss out on exciting highlights.

N - Networking:
Networking events give you the opportunity to make contacts and exchange ideas with industry experts. Whether right at the exhibitors’ stands, after the glasstec conference sessions, during a coffee break – or, for example, in our Start-Up Zone, where you can swap ideas with young and innovative companies.

O – Online-Tickets:

P - Parking:
There are plenty of parking spaces available on the exhibition grounds and in the surrounding area. You can find an overview on our website.

R - Re-entry:
As a visitor, you have the option of leaving the Exhibition Centre at any point during the trade fair and returning later. It is key you have your ticket ready for re-entry checks.

S - Security checks:
Security checks are performed upon entry to the exhibition centre. These serve to protect all trade fair participants.

T - Tourist information:
Düsseldorf has lots to offer – discover the Rhineland metropolis! Düsseldorf Tourismus GmbH provides you with all the information and tips at a glance and has many travel packages ready for you.

U - Useful tips for your accommodation:
During the trade fair it can be tricky to find accommodation at short notice. The hotels in Düsseldorf offer various options in different price categories. We recommend you book early and our partners will be happy to assist you with any queries you might have.

V - Varied event highlights:
We have put together a few highlights for you in our Stories section – including advance interviews on specific sessions such as glass melting pot, “Handwerk Live” (CraftsLIVE) etc. Take a look and immerse yourself in the world of glasstec today.

W - WiFi:
A WiFi connection will provide you with wireless internet access during the trade fair. You can check your e-mails or view information during your tour of the trade fair. The name is "HOTSPOT".

Visitors with an eTicket will receive an access code for the entire day of the fair together with their admission ticket. This includes 1 GB of data volume and a speed of 2 Mbit/s. You also have the option of upgrading the free WiFi to "Premium WiFi Voucher" directly on the home page of the glasstec ticket shop (subject to a charge).

X - X-tra tip:
Our tip from the glasstec team: Wear comfy shoes for long, exciting, eventful days at the trade fair. 

Y - Young professionals in glazier trade:
Is glasstec also something for the trade? Of course it is! Come along, experience the glazier trade with all your senses and get to know young talents – at “Handwerk Live” (CraftLIVE).

Z - Zones with barrier-free toilets / accessibility:
To make your visit to the trade fair pleasant, effective and successful, Messe Düsseldorf has created a number of service facilities for people with disabilities. Further information can be found here.

Barrier-free toilets are available for you at many points around our Exhibition Centre:

• in all halls (except Hall 7.2)
• at the North, South, East Entrance/Eingang Nord, Süd, Ost
• Exhibition Centre ground floor
