Sekisui S-LEC was pleased with the responses and inquiries it got from business contacts from the automotive industry as well as customers from the glass industry for the next generation of 3 layer products launched at the 2004 Glasstec.

Sekisui S-LEC introduced the new product called S-LEC® SSF for the first time during the 2004 Glasstec in Düsseldorf, Germany.About the productsThe value added performance on both sound and solar control functions are already proven in the market for automotive application.Solar control interlayer is used by Toyota, Nissan, and other European OEM’s. High speed trains (like the Japanese Shinkansen) also using this technology for air conditioning efficiency and passenger comfort.

Sound acoustic interlayer has long been used for architectural applications like airport buildings or hotels. In the automotive sector, European OEM’s like Renault use this technology, and some of the US and Japanese OEM’s are evaluating the product for its adoption in the next models.

To meet and exceed customer demand, Sekisui developed the sound/solar-combined function based on the company’s patented multi-layer technology.
