Saint Gobain launches fire resistant glass

Chennai, Nov 1 (IBNS) Vetrotech Saint Gobain, a division of Saint-Gobain Glass India Ltd., the leading float glass manufacturer in India, has launched their advanced range of fire resistant glass –“Vetroflam” for exterior application.

Vetroflam is made from an advanced technology that helps bring together fire resistance and solar control in a single product, said the company.

"While green buildings are on the increase, the focus is in ensuring adequate fire protection also; in addition to the state the art Solar control glasses that help cut out the heat while allowing light to come in, many builders are going in for fire rated glass on the facade and exteriors of buildings, specifically in areas like refuge terraces, staircase enclosure, shop fronts in tall buildings etc," said a company spokesperson.

Vetroflam is the latest new product from Vetrotech Saint-Gobain that combines fire resistance and solar control properties.
