Sanders will present on “Eco-labeling is Coming; is the Glazing Industry Ready?” The session will focus on the importance of environmental product declarations (EPDs), or “eco-labels,” to the future success of organizations manufacturing construction products. She will discuss how the development of “eco-labels” is expanding rapidly, as are the rules governing how the lifecycle assessment that creates these labels (product category rules or PCRs) is done. She’ll also review the basics of LCAs, PCRs and EPDs, the status of the industry’s work in this area and the key strategic issues. Helen Sanders has more than 15 years of experience in the glass industry and more than 10 years of experience in dynamic glass technology and manufacturing.
