In this newly created position, Zajic will oversee Safelite’s legislative affairs strategy and develop proactive initiatives within the state legislative arena.
Zajic brings 15+ years of proven experience in managing government relations strategies that result in measurable outcomes aligned with the company’s business strategies and market objectives.
Most recently, Zajic led his own government relations consulting firm, Hinman Zajic, in Phoenix, Ariz., working with national clients to help them achieve legislative and regulatory results through proactive and strategic leadership. Previously, he spent five years as chief public policy officer for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, he leveraged his ability to collaborate and influence to drive federal and state legislative and regulatory initiatives as well as managing the company’s political action committee (PAC) and grassroots efforts. Additionally, Zajic has held legislative affairs roles with Assurant Inc. and State Farm Insurance Companies.

Zajic has experience working with national organizations such as the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, National Council of Insurance Legislators, National Association of Insurance Commissioners, American Legislative Exchange Council, National Conference of State Legislators, Business Industry Political Action Committee, Public Affairs Council, and various state-based insurance trade groups throughout the country. He holds a BA, Political Science (Minor History) from the Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas.
