Project Announcement - Linden Homes, London

Date: 13 June 2014

PROJECT Linden Homes is an award- winning house building and construction company. It delivers bespoke house designs in key locations.

It creates sustainable new designs and comfortable living possibilities. The company uses industry renowned architects who deliver unique house and apartment projects.

CLIENT Linden Homes, Ashlar Court, Penthouse Apartment (London).

CHALLENGE

Ashlar Court is a Grade II listed building, designed and built in the 1930’ which is being lovingly restored and converted into a selection of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.  Two uniquely  detached 1 & 2 bedroom houses are also available. The Court is located in close proximity to Ravenscourt Gardens and Chiswisk High Road. The challenge was to create a new modern living space that would complement the surroundings. Hammersmith is a densely populated area with little free space left.  Architects wanted to introduce into the Penthouse a modern interior allowing plenty of light to enter, simultaneously keeping a high privacy level.

SOLUTION

Privacy Glass by Smartglass was specified at the design stage allowing Architects to create spacious bedrooms without compromising on the view from their windows. Privacy Smartglass will be used to create double glazed windows from both bedrooms to create a sleek, sophisticated interior while allowing  instant privacy on demand.
