PPG Industries Inc. (PPG), a Pittsburgh-based chemical, glass and resin maker, said Friday Chairman and Chief Executive Charles E.

Bunch received $8.89 million in total pay for 2006.



Bunch received $900,000 in salary, a $2.19 million incentive bonus, stock and option awards valued at $4.57 million and a $1.11 million increase in the value of his pension, according to the company's proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.



For 2005, Bunch received $750,000 in salary and a $1.5 million bonus. He was promoted to president and chief executive on March 31, 2005, from the positions of president and chief operating officer, and was elected chairman and chief executive on July 1, 2005.
