Pilkington owner Nippon Sheet Glass hails stability

Pilkington owner Nippon Sheet Glass (NSG) says it is continuing to perform well despite “challenging but stable” market conditions.

For the nine months to December 31, Tokyo-based NSG recorded a net income (profit) of £13m, up from a loss of £244m the previous year, even though revenues fell 2% to £3.3bn.

The glass manufacturer employs around 1,300 people in St Helens and Ormskirk.
