Date: 10 December 2014

PGT Industries (Nasdaq:PGTI), the nation's leading supplier of residential impact-resistant windows and doors is pleased to announce significant enhancements to the "Design Studio" area on its company website, www.pgtindustries.com.

The previous Design Studio offered consumers a way to envision PGT windows and doors in their home by allowing them to upload an image of their home and "drop in" PGT products. The enhanced version continues to offer this functionality, but also adds several exciting new features. With the redesigned tool, consumers can now:

  • Upload a picture of their home OR choose from a convenient library of home exteriors

  • View a brief summary about benefits of the product line they are considering before making a selection

  • Choose from PGT's most popular window & door styles for each product line

  • Customize their product choices with frame colors & grid patterns

Once a user has customized their product & placed it on their image, they also have the option to:

  • Save their project

  • Email or send a link for their project to a friend

  • Share their project on social sites

  • Request a quote from a PGT dealer

"The new features of the Design Studio truly allow consumers to create a product that would be perfectly suited and unique to their home," states Danielle Mikesell, PGT's Director of Marketing. "New windows and doors are a big investment. Our Design Studio can help a homeowner feel more confident about their final product selection, because they will have been able to test how various colors and product styles visually fit with the look of their homes. And with the social options we've integrated into the Design Studio, users can even share the products they've customized and ask for feedback from their friends and family. The new improvements to the Design Studio also benefit our dealers by allowing them to demonstrate color and configuration options better during in-home visits with consumers, at tradeshows, or even in the field. We're very excited about all of the ways these enhancements can assist our dealers and improve a homeowner's shopping experience."

The new Design Studio is currently live on the PGT website and can be accessed through the Design Studio link on the header of the page or directly via the following link: http://www.pgtindustries.com/resources/pgt-design-studio.
