TRUE multi-touch panels now available with pre-integrated, optically bonded cover glassDALLAS (October 30, 2012) - Ocular today announced a new line of Crystal Touch projected capacitive touch panels.

Crystal Touch: TRUE Multi-Touch PLUS is the newest addition to the Crystal Touch family and provides a TRUE multi-touch panel with a pre-integrated, optically bonded, 1.1mm soda-lime cover glass.  Standard panel size offerings range from 4.3 to 17.0-inches diagonally and allow for up to 16 simultaneous touch points.Providing a touch panel with a pre-integrated cover glass adds durability with the additional top layer of glass.  Design engineers can utilize a Crystal Touch: TRUE Multi-Touch PLUS panel in their design to achieve the popular zero-bezel look for touch display solutions while reducing the amount of customization required.  Crystal Touch: TRUE Multi-Touch PLUS panels are application ready and reduce the amount of design time required since a cover glass is already conveniently provided and the materials do not need to be sourced."We work closely with our customers to understand their requirements and have developed many touch solutions for multiple applications over the years," said Joe Fiamingo, president and CEO of Ocular.  We have found that many customers are looking for more highly-integrated touch panel subassemblies to reduce design efforts and overall cost.  To provide customers this added value, we decided to add optically bonded cover glass to our product line as a standard offering, thus increasing the Crystal Touch product options available to customers."Standard Crystal Touch: TRUE Multi-Touch PLUS panels offer the same benefits of Crystal Touch, such as increased optical clarity and scratch resistance, and now can be ordered with a 1.1mm thick, soda-lime cover glass that provides additional durability and can be silk screened with the customer's logo.Samples of Crystal Touch: TRUE Multi-Touch PLUS panels are now available for purchase and mass production offerings will begin in Q1 2013.  Standard Crystal Touch: TRUE Multi-Touch PLUS products are also available through Ocular's regional distribution and reseller partners, visit Ocular's website for distribution and reseller contact information.
