Central Glass has decided to launch production of HFO-1233zd(E), at its Kawasaki Plant in Kanagawa Prefecture, in the third quarter of fiscal 2012.

"Arial">HFO-1233zd(E) is a new material for blowing agents marketed worldwide under the name of Solstice LBA (Liquid Blowing Agent) by Honeywell International Inc., and has low global warming potential (GWP) of less than 5 and excellent heat-insulation properties. We have signed a purchase agreement on HFO-1233zd(E) with Honeywell Japan Inc.

We continue to manufacture and market HFC-245fa, the blowing agent for rigid urethane foams as before.
