Even from a worm's eye view, Braunschweig's "most spectacular highrise" (as it markets itself) is amazing.
Without a doubt, the most spectacular aspect is the glass facade, which naturally comes from Wernberg-Köblitz.
The BraWoPark is a prestige address in Braunschweig. And for good reason: the huge former postal facility is centrally located by the main train station and spans 75,000 m².
The Toblerone building is in fact called Business Center I and was constructed in the late 1980s. It got its nickname due to its striking, triangular design, which stretches up 90 metres, making it one of Braunschweig's most iconic buildings.
Business Center II is brand spanking new and rises to a height of 70 metres. Its round curved shape makes it the main focal point of the ensemble, which includes the Toblerone, a hotel and a shopping centre.
This sleek office building boasts 13,000 m² of office space, all of which is flooded by natural light thanks, of course, to the glass manufactured in Wernberg-Köblitz.
We supplied around 7,000 m² of Pilkington Suncool™ 50/25, all in perfect condition, which was then carefully put together. As fans of any football team, not least the Eintracht Braunschweig club will know: 7,000 m² is the size of a football pitch.
There were many logistical challenges to be overcome in addition to the sheer quantity of glass. It was requested that everything be packaged and delivered sorted according to the various components and floors. Naturally, we were able to comply.
The building was constructed in record time, not least due to the seamless performance of our staff.
This structure is yet more proof of how our services are not "only" limited to exquisite glass processing - our strengths also lie in never making compromises when it comes to the requirements of our clients.
