Vitrum 2013 can be classified as a true success for Neptun, demonstrating that the company managed by Stefano Bavelloni and Matteo Rolla is responding to the market demands.

Neptun participated at Vitrum 2013  with an exhibiting area of approximately  400 sq.m. complemented  with a unique machine display designed to create a real show-room atmosphere, separated from the open plan reception area. This display concept allowed Neptun to give full attention to each visitor, who could view the machines and fully absorb the demonstration’s in a undisturbed and relaxed way.

The number of visitors exceeded  expectations, with  all continents being represented.  There was a surprisingly good attendance from north-African and middle-east countries showing an active and dynamic economic situation, in spite of the unstable political position of those areas.

Neptun was very pleased  with the overall professionalism of the visitors, with the majority being  more interested in glass processing  solutions with a high technological content, rather than purely low prices. The new solutions proposed by Neptun were  met with unanimous approval, blending advanced technology with cost-effective features.

The primary innovation among all the displayed machines was the vertical washing machine LV TOP combined with the Cornercut 26 module with dubbing function.

Neptun re-invents a traditional low-value labour intensive working process,  which usually implies high costs, by relieving the cornercutting process from traditional machines and creating a fast, universal and convenient solution within the washing operation.

Fast, because the speed of glass conveying and the cornercutting process are optimized within the same operation.

Universal, because this system automatically adjusts to the glass dimensions in a very short time.

Convenient, because up to now this job has been done manually or with the support of other expensive and dedicated machines. In both cases, Neptun will show that – if you do the math – our system will give a very fast return of investment.

The new “QUICK” series of vertical compact work-centers for drilling and milling completes the already established range of Neptun Drillmax and Promax. The products of the Quick series are meant for a market segment where a fully automatic CNC center is neither necessary nor economically feasible, but where accuracy and speed are essential criteria.

QuickDrill, the drilling machine, makes drilling holes and countersinks over the entire working area, with no black zones.

QuickMill is a true compact work-center able to process notches and hinges with speed and precision.

Both are equipped with a powerful numerical control with touch-screen, which allows a complete and easy programming of all functions and the storage of work programs.

These machines can work as stand-alone modules or can be put in line for increased productivity thanks to the two separate processing steps executed simultaneously.

They were displayed at the Neptun booth at Vitrum, in line with an LV Top washing machine, proving once again how Neptun is always oriented to innovate the world of glass with solutions designed for ease of use, durability and high quality.

HIGHER AUTOMATION NEEDS

For those who require complete automation, the Drillmax was in display,  representing the high range of Neptun Vertical CNC. Drillmax is the only center with two drilling heads, a dedicated milling head and with automatic tools-store exchange both on the front and back sides. This machine is designed for high-production series and architectural glass. It can be supplied as stand-alone or in line with the NC vertical grinding Promax and the washing machine.

STRAIGHT-LINE EDGERS AND WASHING MACHINES:  A TESTIMONIAL

At the same booth, you could also see the edging machines Rock 11  with the squaring system Edge to Shape, which now also provides the ability to manage the out-of-square, in addition to squaring at 90 ° and the accurate sizing of the glass sheets. Then Rock 10-45, the mitering machine with 10 wheels, which just like the other models of the Rock series, is characterized by the unusual blend of traditional strength and revolutionary technology that ensures the top processing performance typical of Neptun edgers.

Here are some of the technical features which elevate these machines as a reference point in the glass field:

  • Conveyor with pads made of double patented material with interchangeable sliding guides that grant a very long durability.

  • Spindles placed in tool-boxes made of cast iron and connected to the motors by transmission belts which ensure an extremely low noise and the lack of vibrations even after many years of use.

  • Control panel with PLC with touch-screen on board and electrical cabinet positioning external to the working area with easy access and high protection against humidity.

Finally, we have presented the new version of the washing machine Tornado HP 1664, made completely in high quality stainless steel, both in the washing and in the drying sections.

Easy maintenance thanks to the upper side opening up to 500 mm and low energy consumption thanks to the ECOSAVE system, which after detecting the presence of the glass sheet on board and its sizes,  consequently switches the fan off partially or totally.
