National Windscreens anticipates busy year ahead

Date: 9 January 2013

"2012 was a year of significant growth for National Windscreens, the UK’s largest independently owned vehicle glazing repair and replacement specialist.

The recent National Windscreen’s sales conference held in Bristol reviewed a series of high-profile contract wins during 2012 including Brit Insurance, Chubb Insurance, Lex Autolease, Tesco Underwriting and Zurich Insurance.

The national sales conference also confirmed that the dedicated service offerings for insurance providers and fleet operators, considered fundamental to National Windscreen’s growth strategy, continue to prove highly successful, with a number of further contracts currently in various stages of negotiation.

Commercial Director, Pete Marsden, says, “There’s no denying that we are operating in a fiercely competitive marketplace, but our strategic approach is continuing to strengthen our business. We rolled out a fresh new corporate identity in 2012 to strengthen the National Windscreens brand. Recent contract wins with some of the UK’s largest insurers and fleet operators demonstrate market confidence in our capability.”

National Windscreens operates 114 fitting centres and over 800 mobile technicians across the UK and offers a comprehensive European coverage service through membership of Automotive Glass Professionals. National Windscreens states it is committed to maintain what is now the UK’s most extensive branch network, which allowed the company to provide an unrivalled level of service excellence throughout 2012, the second wettest year since records began.

Regional Sales and Marketing Director, Martyn Bennett, said, “2012 was a very exciting year for National Windscreens. We consolidated our brand by introducing the new identity, won the Fleet News Fleet Supplier of the Year Award and represented the UK in the International Master Fitter 2012 Competition in Dusseldorf. The whole sales team is excited about the prospects for the year ahead and we’re looking forward to building on some of the excellent achievements of 2012.”
