Murano Glass Comes to Italian Cultural Center

Murano glass from the 11th Century will for the first time be exhibited in the Kingdom on May 29-30 at the Italian Cultural Center here.

The exhibition titled, “Murano Artistic Glass,” will feature the display of varied unique artistic handmade and mouth-blown pieces of glass from Murano in Venice, Italy.

Silvia Formentin of Murano’s IDOGI Co., maker of handmade glass art objects, told Arab News that the exhibition was held in Dubai last year to many accolades. This led some local companies to establish good connections with IDOGI, which opened a regional office in Dubai
