Buck will be joining Libbey as an Officer of the Company on Wednesday, August 1, 2012.
Ms. Buck comes to Libbey from Whirlpool Corporation where she has served as Chief Financial Officer, Global Product and Enterprise Cost Leadership since October 2010. Before her current position, Ms. Buck was Vice President Finance US for Whirlpool Corporation from 2009 to September 2010.
Concurrent with Ms. Buck's assignment, Richard Reynolds, previously Chief Financial Officer, was named to the new position of Executive Vice President, Strategy Program Management.
Commenting on the addition of Ms. Buck, Stephanie A. Streeter, Libbey Chief Executive Officer stated, "I am very excited to have Sherry Buck join our senior management team. Her experience in a variety of financial leadership roles in different businesses within Whirlpool, her strategic leadership in addressing cost initiatives and her tenacity and hands-on approach will serve Libbey well. In addition, Sherry has general management experience and brings a solid international background to the Company."
Ms. Streeter continued, "We are also pleased that Dick Reynolds, after serving as Chief Financial Officer since June 2010, will be leading our strategic program management office. This new approach for Libbey combined with Dick's knowledge of the business will help ensure we stay on track towards our goals as we implement our strategic initiatives."
